MTM Robotics (an Airbus company) is looking for a qualified individual to fill an opening for a full time Electrical Assembler. MTM designs, manufactures, and installs automated assembly and control systems for research and industrial manufacturing applications in the aerospace industry. Our tools are used in the direct manufacturing of large-scale aerospace structures. We have a dynamic, talented and collaborative engineering team and want those energized by designing and implementing eloquent, ingenious yet simple solutions to solve our customer's toughest problems.

Electronics duties include:

  • QA testing (volt meters, o-scope, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting and resolving corrective maintenance issues as they arise. This includes performing continuity checks, use of an oscilloscope and executing an acceptable repair or fix.
  • Using a laptop computer to interface with devices.
  • Knowledge of the Windows operating system is required.

Electrical duties include:

  • Wiring assembly of modular, compact robots.
  • Routing wiring into tight spaces.
  • Creating high quality crimps and soldering.
  • Devise electrical circuit designs or small interface components for discrete I/O and analog signals using readily available electrical components.
  • Review electrical designs for feedback, comments, and suggestions during periods of design review.
  • Assembling and testing of all electrical circuit designs.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate would possess the following ability, experience, and skills:

  • 1-2 years electrical experience preferred. Highly knowledgeable or certified to IPC-620 standards preferred.
  • Mechanical experience a plus.
  • Ability to read, analyze & interpret documents, such as procedure manuals, wiring diagrams & schematics.
  • Strong hands-on skills to complete tasks with often tight deadlines.
  • Overall attention to detail with very steady hands and a high degree of dexterity.
  • Experience with basic skills to repair and install electronic devices.
  • An understanding of AC/DC electrical circuits.
  • Keeps a clean and well-organized work environment daily.
  • Frequently documents progress on issues.
  • Well versed in industrial safety and security procedures.
  • Self-managing and self-motivated with a strong track record for attendance and punctuality.
  • Candidate can prioritize demands and utilize time wisely.
  • Good communication skills are a must.
