  • Improve existing software based on requirements and requests from customers and colleagues.
  • Assist in the design process of new systems and architectures and inform the development of better programming practices and procedures.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that may cross over into the electrical and hardware domain.
  • Provide technical support in subject matters concerning performance, installation, maintenance, system testing, and documentation of software and hardware.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Comfort programming in C/C++, (optionally) JavaScript, and (optionally) .NET C#. The ability to understand, develop, and debug low-level software routines as well as system-wide software architectures.

  • Discipline and organization with respect to software maintenance and version management.
  • Experience with source configuration management tools (git).
  • The interpersonal skills and knowledge to work within an engineering development team that spans multiple disciplines (electrical, software, mechanical, systems engineering).
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
  • 6+ years programming experience and evidence of continued learning/education
  • The ability to work independently to achieve required goals with minimal oversight and provide accurate estimates of work effort to accomplish a well-defined task.
  • 40-hour work week required.
